About Us

Who are we?

Wind Power is a Melbourne based company dedicated to the appropriate development of wind farms throughout Victoria and Australia. The company was established in 2001 and has grown steadily over the years with a vision to become a leading "wind-only" renewable energy company in Australia.

Wind Power has a number of premium wind resource sites throughout regional Victoria and is involved in numerous projects at different stages of development. This includes managing the Wonthaggi wind farm, several projects with planning approval, and others at the feasibility stage.

Wind Power Management Pty Ltd is a subsidiary company of Wind Power Pty Ltd and is responsible for the administration of wind farm operations. The company currently manages the Wonthaggi Facility.

Our commitment

Wind Power is committed to developing facilities at all of our premium wind resource sites across regional Victoria, which:

  • minimise the environmental impact during their construction and operation; and
  • generate renewable energy and renewable energy credits.

Wind Power's involvement in the Certified Wind Farms Australia scheme is indicative of our commitment to appropriate development.

The aim of the scheme is to promote the sensitive and responsible uptake of wind energy in Australia by ensuring that the development and operation of wind farm projects is consistent with best practice standards.
