Ross Richards
Engineer and Community Consultant
Ross combines his technical knowledge and engineering expertise with his flair for community engagement in his role at Wind Power.
Ross is predominantly involved with the planning and development of wind farm projects through the Development Approvals phase. Not only is he responsible for consulting with landowners, community and government agencies, he also manages consultants to provide technical input on proposed wind energy projects. Having lived and worked on a farm in Victoria, Ross has first-hand knowledge and understanding of issues facing rural and regional Victoria. His ability to distil community and stakeholder input and technical assessment add immense value to the quality design and layout of Wind Power’s projects.
Ross joined the Wind Power team in 2007 following an interesting and varied career history from teaching to engineering to working with young people on living sustainably. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering (Honours) from RMIT and Masters in Education (University of Melbourne). Ross is a member of Engineers Australia.
