Fact Sheets and Information

Since the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act was legislated in 2000, wind power has emerged as one of the most cost effective ways of generating clean green energy and has been widely acknowledged for its potential to play a key role in meeting part of Australia’s growing energy needs.

AusWEA acknowledges the importance of education around wind energy as a new technology, particularly at the local community level where public support of wind power is absolutely essential to the future of any project. To address this need AusWEA has produced a series of 12 issue specific Fact Sheets.

Hard copies of the Fact Sheets are available from AusWEA (info@auswea.com.au) or can be downloaded here electronically. More detailed supplementary information on some of the Fact Sheet subjects can also be downloaded
