The wind farm site consists of two distinct areas between 2km and 8 km southwest of the township of Lexton, located approximately 44km to the Northwest of Ballarat.
The site encompasses predominantly cleared agricultural land used for sheep grazing. The land is zoned rural in the Shire of Pyrenees.
Accesses to the sites are good and existing access tracks require only minor adjustment to facilitate development. Both areas of the project combined will deliver up to 38 MW of power: enough to power over 25,000 Victorian homes with a capital investment required of approximately $110 million.
The development has been approved by the Pyrenees Shire Council.
